Kenwood KD65F Turntable
Kenwood KR595 Receiver.

Turntable is plugged into a powerstrip, Receiver is plugged into the wall

When the receiver is on and turntable is off, the turntable needle is ON. When the turntable is on, the needles is off! When the turntable is on the table turns and lights go on, but tapping the needle brings silence. I have the ground from the turntable wired to the ground screw on the receiver. any thoughts??
