Hello all...

I'm looking for a device that will allow me to remotely switch on a pc by dialing in using a cell phone... or something similar. The device should be able to turn the PC on from a completely off state rather than a standby state.

The situation: we have a server which is housed almost 30km from the nearest home it is serving. Our power company is not very reliable and we have regular outages at all times of the day. If the outage is during the day someone is always close enough to switch it back on. However if the outage is during the night then someone has to drive 30km on a lousy gravel road to switch it on.

Any ideas will be welcome.

Thanx.

The Pentium doesn't have bugs or produce errors; it's just Precision-Impaired.
