Dell audio effects internal mic issue

Hello,
I'm trying to use the audio effects with my new Inspiron, but when I turn them on and go to select a microphone, the internal mic isn't listed, only the "line-in" mic. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

The line-in may be your mic.. But even if its not please spare people's ears and buy a external mic they are very cheap.

Why do you tell the guy to spare people's ears cause even if he buys the external mic he will talk the same way if he didnt have the external mic. Doesnt make any sense :S
And your answer is helping no one.
