Okay so my Gateway laptop (m-2624u) came with vista home loaded on it, which I hate. So i reformatted to xp sp3, and installed my video and network drivers, and everything else.

The only thing not working is my sound. It says "ATI HD Audio Rear Output" which I did not install the driver for, the computer hardware wizard did. I believe the rear output is for the HDMI slot, and Im having troubles finding the correct driver for the onboard sound.

If anyone could help me find it, it would be very helpful. Thanks

Download a sound card driver should be fine, I do not know what model you are, my machine is the Gateway

Huhh? Ive tried downloading over 20 driver packages.. none work.
