I am at my grandma's house over the summer and one thing I would love to do is archive her slides. I have been reading a little bit about slide scanners and was hoping that someone could give me some good suggestions. I looked on tigerdirect and found some. The money limits what I can get of course($200-$300), but I would like to get the nicest quality that I can buy. Any suggestions/advice about slide scanners??

Thanks for your help!

Given your budget and assuming you are talking about the most common 35 mm format, a used Minolta Dual Scan III or IV would be a very good choice. If you want new and to be able to scan mulitple formats, a refurbished Epson 4990 from the Epson Store is a killer deal at just under $300 including shipping and full factory warranty.
