I need to convert 500+ (not at onee time) but when I want to use my 128mb mp3 player or put some songs on my 512 mini SD card in my smartphone, I would like to get them to the smallest possible size (with reasonable quality)
Is there a program that can do this? Basically it would need to be able to do multiple files at one time, not sure if audacity can do this.

Simply drag drop one or more (up to 99???) and queue them up to be shrunk even more. You'll get better quality if you convert directly from the CDs, but that takes longer.
