I installed an M-Audio Revolution 5.1 on my Asus M2V with VIA chipset. The onboard is disabled in bios. I can play music but games are all dead as far as audio. Ranges from .25 sec delay to 1 sec echo to awful delay/pops/static. I suspect that the music is also on delay but how would I know anyway. The games are all in different sound formats/codecs including one old enough to work on an ancient (bought when I had W3.1) sound card. M-Audio tech is useless. I suspect the problem is mobo/pci related. I'm dead in the water and switched to the onboard sound. Anyone have a thought?
