I had a nice Dell 2407 widescreen. I play World of Warcraft. Looked fantastic. I had a hard time fitting two screens on it at the same time. I would run both in a window but considering the size/orientation of the lcd i would still have a lot of space left over. So one day I switched to portrait mode. One screen over the other. It was hard to get used to. And there was still a lot of screen left over, a good 2 inches. I did not like the refresh rate. I am now cool with it but it still strains my eyes after extended play.
So here is my issue. The monitor went PLOP, yep it fell over in portrait landed on the arm of my chair and is bashed and my warranty doesnt cover it.
So my wife gave me permission to get a new 30' dell, a little pricey but hey the wife gave me the go ahead!
So... I was thinking of getting 2 x 24 inchers, my hardware cannot currently support it. But end of year I will build a new system. What I am looking for is simple....But I would just end up giving one to my wife to upgrade her 19inch lcd if I were to buy 2 x 24inchers
Two widescreen LCD's bent on gaming. I was thinking 2 x 19inch wide screens. But then i found that I cannot find a price vs performance monitor that is worth getting. IE most lcd sub 24' are 6bit (16.2mil colors) I dont want a monitor with dithering. The plastic on the outside of the screen can be quite thick sometimes. This will ruin the dual screen look. So thick = bad.
Lastly, IS THERE AN LCD WITH GOOD NATIVE THAT SUPPORTS >60hz REFRESH?!?!
It would be awesome if I could get 70 or even 80hz refresh. It would help soooooo much.
To sum it all up. What I really want is quite simple.
A monitor that can display two windows at a time fitting both perfectly. 24 inch didnt cut it at its resolution
or
Two gaming monitors that fit well together.
or
One of those setups that have a two/three in one setup.
