Came back regarding my posts.

Performed a search for myself as the author.

Results were but one hit, some adware site.

Poked around forums for other means of locating my posts. None seen.

Beside no apparent means in my profile linking to my posts, what am I missing here?

Hi wguru
On the homepage of the forum, when you're logged in, you've got a command bar at the top on the screen. The 3rd button is called "flags commands" and you'll find there all actions to find out your threads.
There are 2 sets of flags : red and blue, the red one get you access to all topics you've read and that have new messages.
The blue ones give you access to all topics you've posted on and that have new messages !

Thank you for replying.

So what's missing were three or four things.

Now just two (ie; unnecessary experimental drilling, webmaster reconsideration of either re-naming "flag commands", fixing the search link for "author", adding a link or sub-menu for this type of search, and/or adding a 'sticky' or faq on this sort of thing).

Towards possibly re-paying you the favor for your kind reply, here's a link to (what w/o drilling and experimentation), users would need to pay to install and use a set of colored Windows folder icons (including its unexplained means to get the freeware to work):

www.download25.com/install/folder-color-icon-set.html

Installation zip file, resulting folder and exe can be stored anywhere, needn't be sys32 or windows.
Afetr unzipping, 'simply' copy "Colors.icl" file, re-name it as
"Colors.ico".
Then for any Windows folder you'd like in any color, go to that folder's directory, right click your chosen folder, properties, customize, change icon, browse to the Color.ico file and pick a color.
Note the windows folder for std icon set is untouched, ref.
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

The utility supposedly works simplier than the standard way of folder customization, but that may be hype. I got it to work, this way as even with good AV, I prefer to distrust anything not signed by MS, so I don't install stuff having no uninstaller and/or that goes into sys32 or Windows folders.

Hmm. Mighta, coulda, shoulda looked before I replied.

I use Windows classic and I'm not finding the 'Command bar' displaying "flag command" on any of the 'top on the screen' pages on the website (neither at forum home or individual forum's pages).

Also checked for any other 'top of screen's 'command bar's (further down home and forum pages), but still not finding a "flag command" button.

If site doesn't enable screenshots, could you possibly post an imagagehost link showng me the screeshot of where this button's at?

you're right, the usability of this is awful. we're gonna change it during summer hopefully !

To find it, be sure of course to be logged in and then look right under the title of the page : "Tom's Hardware Forum".
