i have the same equally proposed setup. The server is for:
• File Server
• Print Server
• Domain Controller
• Application Server
• Log Server

Users expected to be around 50. Dont know whether you can help me to choose the best option out of the three.

You don't want to run all of those for 50 users on one server. Especially an application server. DC/File/Print on one is OK probably.

dual or quad Xeon CPUs with at least 16gig of RAM would be OK. For application server you need to check the application requirements. SAS drives for server storage are great, but you need to pick the size of the array you need based on what you need.
