So after 4 years of not having my rear speakers hooked up I FINALLY have an apartment with room for them. I went to connect my rears...was having a few issues with them..but finally got the Soundblaster speaker test to respond. I run the test, it gives me a "front left, front right, rear right, rear left" individually from each speaker so I know they are in the correct spot. I have the 4/4.1 Synchronized to Windows Sound and Audio Devices, which chooses "quadrophonic speakers" for them, which is precisely what I remember they used to be set as.

The problem is..when I play music/watch movies/surf the net I don't get any sound from the rear speakers. I can change the plugs..change the settings and I get nothing. Any suggestions? I feel like it is some sort of miscommunication between where Soundblaster wants the speakers plugged in and where Windows thinks the speakers should be plugged in..
