How do I change the brightness on my screen on my toshiba satellite? It looks like F6 &F7 , but nothing happens even when pushing shift, or Ctrl, or Alt.

If there are icons for "brightness up" and "brightness down" on F6 and F7, see if your laptop has an "Fn" key ("function key" ). It's probably Fn+F6 and Fn+F7. Some laptops I've seen have it as Fn+Up and Fn+Down, or Fn+Left and Fn+Right.
