Would like advice on a good 26-32 inch Wide Screen on a budget

Heya guys, Im looking to get a 26 to 32 inch wide screen TV. I was looking at the 26 inch Sony Bravia but decided that $700 is a bit too much for me to spend.

Heres the thing, I dont want a Flat panel unless it doesnt have any color or brightness distortion or loss when looking at it from an angle, the Sony was met that requirement but many others, even good name brands that were higher in price diddnt.

So Im asking for your advice on any you would recommend for around or under $550. There is many that are in that price range, but I would rather hold on to my money and stick it out with my old TV that is kinda on its way out then just waste it on something that isnt that good. (that or settle for the 24 inch sony) And I dont have any way of finding out what is the great deals from the bad ones.
