hey guys. im a new member here. :)

my screen resolution is currently 1280x1024 and as what ive specified for my refresh rate, it is 75hz(of course your eyes are gonna die with 60 hz). however, my monitor GUI(where you configure the horizontal space, brightness, etc.) shows that im using 60hz. This should be a real pain in my eyes. Actually my monitor can detect what resolution am I using, even its refresh rate.

I tried to use 1024x768 with 75hz still. but my Monitor shows im still using 60hz. can someone tell me whats wrong? i mean, if i havent detected this earlier i think i might be using eyeglasses by now. The display properties show me 11 available refresh rates. minimum is 43hz(interlaced) and maximum is 180hz. Plus, the monitor type is Default monitor? i tried updating this one but still I get a Default monitor.

I dont know which one to believe, the one that my monitor is showing or the ones in the display properties. Also, i have the most updated version of my video card.

Anyways, Im using:

Monitor: Vista 17" CRT Color Monitor 78E(I think this is China Made and I cant find a product overview on the net)
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9200 128mb.

Hope you guys can help.

I could be wrong but it looks like some kind of 'refresh rate override' is being used. I'm using an NVidia card and in its control panel you can enable/disable the 'refresh rate override' settings, not sure how to do this for ATI cards tho.

ummmm. yes, im using refresh rate override. for ati catalyst control center, direct x refresh rate override and the one on the display properties.

i have specified all of them to 100hz but my monitor still says im using 60hz
