Sager for low end laptop??

Bought a $1500 Sager last year and am very satisified with it. However, I now would like a laptop for around $700-$800 to use mostly for basic DVD play (using Netflix (from their site) to my theater system) and for internet. If possible I'd emphasize PSU and memory as I may use it some for Photoshop-type photo manipulation (though this is secondary use, and only if possible in that price range).

So is Sager still the way to go or is someone else the better choice given my price range?
