Hi,

I bought Samsung SyncMaster 206BW LCD monitor 5 days ago and I think I got a problem.

The samsung LCD is good but I feel some uncomfortable to my eyes(and also got headache) which was not with my old CRT monitor (I was using a sony CPD20sf2T CRT monitor for about 2 years). I would like to know, is there any harmful rays emitting in LCD monitors such as UV,(even in small amounts or not at all?) (I'm asking this because as I know a fluorescent lamp is used as the backlight of the LCD and fluoracent lamps are emitting UV) or because of a malfunction of the LCD or any other reason. I feel this uncomfortable even when I set the brightness to 0. (I feel that the brightness level is too high, so I set it to 0 and checked out). now I set the brightness to 0 and contrast to 50, and I connected the monitor to my PC using DVI-D cable. But still I feel the problem is remaining (but in a lower level, but if I set the MagicBright option to Internet or Game mode, it is very hard to look at the screen).

And also please tell me is it ok to use my LCD even in lower background light. (I mean all lights off in my room at the night).

Please Help MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........................... :bounce:

Thank you,
Nimesh
