Possible Competition for Gateway P-7807u FX Edition

I was thinking of buying the Gateway® P-7807u FX Edition, I have been doing some research and for $1241 including warranty and online shipping, this computer looks very good for what i want. before I officially took the plung I wanted to make sure i was getting all i can for the money. Is there any other laptop that could compete with this one for the price or possibly less money?

for about $100 more you can get the asus N71JQ-A1, which I've had for almost a month. It is a fantastic laptop with an Intel I7 cpu, 4gb DDR3 ram, 17.3" HD screen, 2 320gb 7200rpm hard drives and the list goes on and on. Not to mention Asus's standard 2 year warranty with 1 year accidental damage. Chech it out its a great laptop for the money
