Viewsonic VP930 Vs. Samsung 971p

I'm so frustrated and I need some advice in order to make my mind.

I want to replace my old 19" Iiyama CRT with a 19" LCD display.
I mostly use the computer to browse the Internet, use office applications and occasionally edit digital photos for printing.
Once in a while I play a little FPS and RTS games, but this is something like 5% of my PC usage time.
I rarely use it for watching movies.

I narrowed it down to those two displays.
From one hand, the Samsung 971p is a beauty, according to reviews it displays accurate colors and good for browsing and office utilities. However, I understand it has some serious ghosting effect.
On the other hand, the Viewsonic is extremely ugly and considered to be a good all-round display (again according to reviews).

I haven't seen any of the two in action because they are not available on display where I live. The Samsung is about 60$ US pricier than the Viewsonic, but both are in my budget.

I do care about the aesthetics of the display and I want it to look nice on my desk. I also want a good all-round display.

Can anyone with experience with the 971p tell me if the ghosting on that display is really bad?
I need some advice in order to decide which one to buy.
