FAULTY HP DESKTOP

when i switch on my computer,it start on well by rotating the fans for few seconds then the fan stops,and the machine starts producing a two bit sound with ared light, which is stablei.e does not blink...and it cant display anything on the screen...what might be the problem? and how can i solve it?

1. If you have it plugged into an outlet strip or UPS try plugging it into the wall directly first.
2. Check all your cards ram ans CPU are seated properly.
3. After that it could be a faulty power supply it might have lost a voltage rail. If you are good with a VOM you check that yourself.
