Hello,

Just configured a cheap PC on the website pcspecialist.com and I was wondering if there was any advice somebody could give me on what to improve/what could be made cheaper. I want the PC to be able to play games today and in a few years time.

This is my first gaming PC so that is why I am getting the mouse keyboard and monitor, although I am getting the monitor seperately off amazon because it is cheaper.

Here is the PC:

All of that costs 609 pounds.

And the monitor:

Ilyama E2208HDD 22 inch Wide LCD 1080p DVI Monitor - Black

It costs 116 pounds.

And yes this is in pounds and not dollars.

So anyway, any feedback would be great.

Thanks.

(P.S:I had absolutely no idea what subsection to put this in so I put it in dell :()

EDIT: Changed Processor to x4 965 for good measure:
Here are its specs if you didnt know:
Processor (CPU)

AMD PHENOM II X4 965 (3.40GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3) - BLACK EDITION

EDIT: :( Why is this in the Brands section? Im sure I put it in the Systems section... That explains the brands as the subsections. I am very sure I put this in the Systems section so I think it must be a glitch, infact ive had a couple of odd glitches before on the forum.

EDIT: Yep its glitched, on the title of the page it says systems when im clearly in brands...

But nevermind. If a mod or admin sees this can they PLEASE put it in the Systems section as im not going to get many replies on this if its in this section.

Yeah your right, I would need that if I ever have to upgrade graphics card.

Also keep in mind that all PSUs deteriorate in performance over time. And, the output declines as the temps rise (and it will in summer).

I have a X4 970 and I can tell you that the stock AMD heat sink is very annoying. Not to loud, just the type of sound it produces is hard on the ears. Spend an extra 30 dollars, pounds or so and get an aftermarket cooler.
