A hand with single-suited Chows

Dear all,

Recently I have played an interesting hand. Everything was in a single
suit (Bams).

Exposed: 123 345 789
Hand: 24578

Left in play (Bams): 22 33 44 55 6666 77 88 999.

Around 35 tiles left in a Wall.

QUESTION: How to continue??

There is a good chance of making either 123+456+789 or 123+345+567+789
(in addition to Pure Suit) and I have decided to get rid of "2" (since
all "6"'s were raw which made good chances to Chow for 45+6 or 57+6).

Unfortunately, my discard was used to make 7 Pairs hand.

The 2 is the logical discard from the point of view of building the hand.
Its connection with the 4 is tenuous, while the 4's connection with the 5 is
powerful. Same for the 5 and 7. Your two strong connections are 4-5 and 7-8.
Picking a 6 would be ideal, then you need only decide whether to discard 4
or 8 (probably the 8 since it's closer to the end of the suit). But if you
pick 3 or 9, then you have to choose a discard and hope for the remaining
tile's mate.

Cheers,
Tom

Isn't that the way?
