Laptop cd burning

hi, i have a weird situation. When burning audio cds (not a data cd) and try to play them in my car it will only play a the first few tracks and its really slow at reading the tracks before playing them. the tracks it doesnt play it trys to read them then spits the cds out. When i try and burn the same cd off my desktop it plays just fine. Ive tried a lot of things like burning speed, different programs ect. i was wondering if anything can help me out with this problem?
