PLease cure my headphone blues....

Hi TH community,
Was hoping to get your help (or to be pointed in the direction of such help) with headphone troubles.
I just got a pair of eDimensional AudioFX 5.1 Ben Heck Headphones the other day and since cant get them to work.
They are USB headphones that require USB 1.1-2.0. I have USB2.0 and various portable storage (Laptop HD, PSP, Flash drives) that work on all my USB Ports. I have a pretty good new computer with XP SP2.

When I plug the headphones in, the light on the inline controls lights up (good sign i guess), but the computer doesnt seem to register that it is there. I have checked in the device manager in the USB section and cant seem to find anything.

Again, any help is welcome, as well as advice on where i would better direct my dilemma.
