I've been planning on getting a Dell 30" LCD for the new system I hope to build very soon.

Now I'm wondering if I'd be better off getting 2 24" LCDs in the $400-440 range (each) and saving a few bucks. I could still buy the 30" six months or a year down the road -- keeping one of the 24" as a 2nd monitor and giving the other 24" to the wife's or kids' PC.

30" single monitor gives me 2560x1600... 2 24's gives me a combined 3840x1200

If I go with 24", what do you recommend? This is one I am considering: Acer

Thanks,

Galen S

Good choice.

The Acer uses the inferior TN panel technology while the Dell uses the superior S-IPS panel.
