PS3 Optical to PC

Hey Gang,

I'm trying to use my 5.1 Logitech speakers for sound on my PS3. I have a sound blaster x-fi sound card that has an optical in/out. I'm wondering if i can go from the ps3 to the pc and out to the logitech speakers? Is this possible let me know.

You need to call Creative of the otical will recieve AC3 signal (5.1) or just stereo. If your PS3 is using 5.1 channel then X-fi might not accept the signal but stereo.

Your question is " i can go from the ps3 to the pc and out to the logitech speakers" The answer is yes. but I'm not sure if it uses other than stereo.
