I recently reimaged my Replay 5040 hard-drive, and it is functioning properly as far as recording and the like. My problem is that since the upgrade, my phoneline refuses to connect to the toll-free number to get local numbers. It is dialing, but not establishing a connection. It does do it if I connect ethernet - thats how I did the first update - but no joy via dial up. Yes, I am trying to avoid ethernet connection as it would require running lots of cable - and drilling thru concrete. I have tried to put in a filter - change phone lines, *70, *99, changing baud rate etc.... Any help/direction would be appreciated.
