Web cam problem on laptop

Hi

Have an Acer Aspire 2930z with built in Webcam called "Crystal Eye" this is not working after 2-3 of purchase. Also is shows some USB devise is not regognised when comes back from sleep (like I close the lid & open, comes back from sleep mode).
Reinstalled the Web cam software after complete uninstallation, all it says "No camera found" when we run camera utility.

Acer asked me to re install (recover) to factory default. I'm affraid as I have lot of software installed & lot of Email, Docs etc. in a different Drive (partition made later on like D: E: F).

Can anyone help me to fix this problem Pls? Or help how to take a full docs/email backup & then recover to the factory's default to Acer?

It has a 10GB reserved for system recovery.

Configuration is Dual core 2.16 Ghz, 3GB Ram, 320 GB HD, Intel Graphics 940.
