I'm trying to find a good quality 17" LCD monitor that I can adjust down the brightness for low-light environments, but that will still have a high contrast and sharpness. I'm told I need an adjusted brightness of about 80 cd/m2 or so. I've tried a couple Dells, but I could not turn down the brightness much. This is for desktop publishing, word processing and software development ... always starring at white and gray screens. Help please !
