Could anyone tell me which processor and which graphics card i need to be able to play crysis on high for about £170?

u cant!
I have a 4870 (£200) and that occasionally struggles with the settings cracked up at high res.
I also have OC'd E8400 (£110)
For £200 you could get (depending on amd or intel) :
AMD - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149208

Graphics ATI - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142605
Graphics Nvidia - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148039

With these or similar components you could run crysis quite well. You also need a pile of memory (4GB recommended)
