Hey all

Im currently building a new computer for general use and some gaming. ive decided on most parts, including an 8800gt, but now need to decide on a monitor.

Im think along the lines of a 19" LG model, 2000:1 and 5ms response time. However, there is a near identical wide screen version for $30 less. My question is what is the difference between wide and normal screens for computing. Are wide screens just for watching movies on your pc? And how do normal applications like spreadsheets or word processors, games etc view on a wide screen?

And also, will i be bottlenecking my 8800gt with a smaller/low-end monitor?

Thanks heaps
