I'm looking at an HP-Pavilion dv5-1099nr from Best Buy and I would like to know how much of a performance increase I will see from my current computer. The link is http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspag [...] 8097993447
Here are my current computer's specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Hard Drive: 40 GBx2
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519)
Motherboard: Abit IS-10
Now with that rig which was created in 2005, I get aroun 60-80 fps in Counter Strike: Source, 50 fps in WoW, 80 fps in Call of Duty 4 (Moderate settings), and 125+ constant in Call of Duty 2.
Obviously the laptop is better, but is it worth the upgrade?
