Are my speakers busted?

Logitech s200 2.1 speakers
Auzentech X-Plosion sound card

a while ago, in a drunken state, i placed sum tin foil over the sub air hole, thusmaking it float, stupidly i somehow managed to let the hole suck the tin foil in lol.

however, the speakers still worked fine, just the sub rattled if i picked it and manually shook it. then a few weeks later my speakers kept cutting out randomly and eventually just ceased to work, after another couple days they just decided to not work at all.

soooo i assumed the tinfoil was shorting. took the sub apart, removed the the tinfoil, screwed the back back on and hey presto, they worked. for 20minutes. now, nothing again. ive had these speakers for nearing on two years now, do you reckon they've just decided to die and leave this planet for greater things or is there any thing i can do to gt them working?

ive checked all connections and fiddled all the external wires to no avail. I can take photos of inside the sub if requested, im no electrician so could of quite possibly missed something obvious whilst looking at the circuitry
