MechWarrior4 Mercenaries

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.games (More info?)

I recently installed a new copy of MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries, but the game
comes up with a "Cannot find DirectInput functions" message and won't start
the game.

Can anyone provide a fix to this please?

Go to http://update.microsoft.com and choose Custom. Update DirectX.
