Faster ram underclocked for lower latency?

My Corsair XMS4000 Pro will NOT allow me to tighten up the timings at lower clock speeds. My Crucial Ballistix PC4000 WILL allow me to do it. I can get Cas2 out of it at 216MHz and Cas 2.5 at higher speeds.

I have the Corsair XMS pro series PC4000 like you, and also Kingston HyperX PC4000. Neither will allow me to run tighter timings at DDR400 speeds. That Ballistix seems to be the way to go.

:frown:

I got the HyperX cheap, but paid good money for the Corsair.
