I have a missing or corrupt driver for my cd/dvd drive on my emachine does anyo

My cd/dvd drive will not work. I get an error 39 missing or corrupt driver. does anyone know how i can correct this problem

Go to Device Manager in Control Panel. Then disable the DVD drive. Re-start the computer. The OS will find "New Hardware" and search for the correct drivers and automatically install the driver.

(Control Panel ---> Administrative Tools ---> Computer management ---> Device Manager)

i figured out what was wrong with cd/dvd drive problems, thanks for all your help

Try deleting the DVD drive from your device manager in ControlPanel. Then restart your PC, and when Windows starts up, it should find the DVD drive as new hardware and install correct drivers.
