I've recently started noticing a few errant red pixels on my shots regardless of settings or ISO, especially in photographed areas that are darker. People have suggested that I take a picture with my lens cap on to get an idea and here are the ugly results:

Granted, not all of the pixels appear in pictures and I've read that there is software that can erase the marks, but with the summer fast approaching I'll no doubt be taking hundreds of pictures. Even if it takes only a minute or two to fix a picture, the time is compounded greatly when considering how many pictures I'll take.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

If it comes to it, what would I have to pay to get something like this fixed? I bought the camera used off eBay last year so I wouldn't be under warranty.
