You could see if you can find an ntfs driver and reformat your partition (or a partition) as ntfs. It's not a win98 limit per se, but a limit of fat32.

To the original Poster:
Stop whining and get XP or 2K. As a man who's gone from FAT32 to NTFS I can say it's simply millions of times better. You might hate the interface, but you can turn most of the crap off. Yes, it (XP) is a bit more RAM hungry, but I don't think you're going to be working with 6Gb files if you have only 128Mb of RAM
What sort of file is 6Gb in size, apart from a particularly huge database?
