need advice please Tags: Memory DDR2 DDR Product Last response: January 14, 2005 7:18 PM in Memory Share aitordonosti January 14, 2005 2:09:53 PM I have a PV 3.4 on an Asus P5GDC Deluxe which admits DDR and DDR2 memory. If you'd have to choose, what would you get? DDR or DDR2?which brand and memory model would to buy? Which one if we don't take into consideration the price factor? Thanks a lot!!! More about : advice BrentUnitedMem January 14, 2005 6:56:28 PM At the same rated speed, DDR offers better performance. And plus, DDR2 is more expensive. Unless you go with the higher rated DDR2 (667 and beyond), DDR2 offers little advantage over DDR. CrucialLabs January 14, 2005 7:18:50 PM Stick with DDR like Brent said. DDR2 is not as fast as DDR is right now.
