Everytime I boot up my computer Volume Control decides to mute the .wave line on my sound device, a USB Emu 0404.

I think the problem started after I tried to use the onboard RealTek sound card for ventrillo. I've since disabled it and uninstalled the drivers for it but the auto-mute is still there. I'm sure there's an option somewhere in my startup registry that tells it to start as muted, but I can't find it.

I even tried replacing SndVol32.exe from my XP install cd and no good. No amount of reinstalling the Emu 0404 driver's seem to help either.

I'd appreciate any thoughts / suggestions.
