worse latency with my new memory

I just changed the memory in my computer. I had 1GB TwinMos PC3200 2,5-3-3-8 Dual Channel and I changed to OCZ PC3200 Enhanced Latency Rev 2 (2-2-2-5). Before I changed them I ran a memory test using Everest Home edition from Lavalys. Here is the result:

TwinMOS:
read: 3491MB/s
write: 1547MB/s
latency: 63,6ns (2,5-3-3-8)

OCZ:
read: 3720MB/s
write: 1865MB/s
latency: 70ns (2-2-2-5)

As you can see there is an improvement for both reading from and writing to the memory, but the latency is worse!! I though this would be the area with the greatest improvement. Does anyone know why?
