Due to a major problem with virus and/or hackers, I had to wipe my dads hard drive. I moved it to my computer temporarily, backed up his important info, and tried to throw it back into the tower to install windows. The problem is, the CD-ROM won't read my windows disc. I've tried 4 diffrent CD-ROMS, all with the same results. The disc spins and an error message comes up saying something like 'Cannot find boot information from disc, replace and press any key'.

Has anyone had this problem before or anyone know something that can fix it?

Are you sure that the CD-ROM is enabled as a boot device in the BIOS? It might only be checking the (blank) hard drive? Just a thought...

Also, have you tried checking the Windows CD in another PC?
