hey everyone,

ive been having some weird problems with a monitor I just got. its a Samsung SyncMaster 950b crt. the problem is the lower the resolution goes, the darker the screen gets. so whenever the resolution is around 800x600 or 1024 x 768, the screen gets extremely dark... so dark that i can barely see the pointer. and whenever the resolution is high, around 1600 x 1200, its okay. im not sure what to make of it. also, i noticed that raising the refresh rate from 60 to 65 made the screen brighter if that helps.

it sucks too cuz i cant play any full screen video games. the screen just completely blacks out whenever i open them.

if anyone is able to help me that would be awesome.

thanks.

Try increasing refresh to 85 or 100 if your monitor has the capability. It's better if higher refresh is selected.
