further to all the questions regarding the dell dimension 8250,
I have 4 slots for ram 2 taken up by 2x256mb rdram and in the
other 2 are 2 dell cards, these look like blanking cards,can they
be removed and the additional ram put in these slots please.

Yes these can be removed and replaced w/ memory sticks. Be sure not to operate the computer without them in the slots when no memory is occuping the slots. They are critical in the correct operation of RDRAM.
