Need help

Check if yours is the following scenario when you press the power button on your laptop:
>LED lights on keyboard come on i.e. the disk access light in particular
>Screen is absolutely blank, not even bios POST comes up on the display
>No display on external monitor if hooked up to this laptop
If the above conditions hold then it is most likely that your graphics chipset has been damaged, which could be due to overheating or other issues.
If however there is display on an external monitor then your laptops LCD display must be damaged, in which case you will need to get the panel replaced.
Both repairs are pretty expensive, so i hope your still covered under the warranty period.
There is one other possibility:
>Boot screen shows for a couple of seconds before going black
>The screen contents are faintly visible when tilting the screen at certain angles
>Display is fine on an external monitor
If this is the case then either the LCD inverter or the backlight is at fault. These two are inexpensive problems.You can easily get the inverter replaced for a reasonable price.
