Hello. I have fixed and built towers before but never ventured into laptops. I was given an old one and it was getting slow so I figured I'd open it up and make sure it wasn't too dirty inside. I took off the fan (which I didn't realize was also the heatsink and had the cpu attached) and all looked well. I put it back together and now it won't start. When I press the power button the little diskette light flashes for half a second and then nothing. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might have done? It's a Gateway M350WVN. Thanks for any advice!

hold it closer to the phone I can't see it yet, diassembling old electronics is a bad idea, try taking the CPU/cooler out again and reseat it, you might get lucky
