I have a DVD burner and when I go to burn the files on a disk it says that my DVD writer needs to support "DVD". It then lists everything my DVD writer can support, and "DVD" is listed. I can do the entire buring process "decrypting", "decompressing" and then when I do the burning part with nero this happens. Can anyone tell me what I should do?

What brand name and model is your DVD burner? There are 2 types of DVD, -R and +R. Maybe, your burner can only burn 1 of these types.

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

I cannot tell you the exact specs, but here is what my Newegg reciept says:

DVDRW AOPEN | DUW1608 GR S/W %
(Serial#: 914ID3700243903993JED)

It was $59.49. Can you tell me what this burner supports?

I tried doing it with DVD-R disks, DVD+R disks, and a DVD-RW disk and nothing worked.

Specifications:
Write Speed: 2.4x DVD+R DL (Double Layer), 16x DVD+R, 4x DVD+RW, 8x DVD-R, 4x DVD-RW, 48x CD-R, 32x CD-RW
Read Speed: 48x CD-ROM, 16x DVD-ROM

Your drive by the look of it supports all of the above formats, which is basically everything.
You might want to try looking up the error on the nero website to see if there is any information about it, you could also try to see if there is a firmware update available and/or an upgrade to the version of nero you are using.

I have checked and could not find your DVD burner supported by <b><A HREF="http://www.nero.com/us/recorders66.php?manu=Aopen&lang=en" target="_new"><font color=red>Nero</A></b></font color=red>. Did your Nero software come with the drive?

Can you post me a newegg link of a dvd burner that is supported by nero? It should support both DVD-R and DVD+R and be as cheap as possible. Beige preferred.

Thank you.

I would recommend on <b><A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-106-960&depa=1" target="_new"><font color=red>Lite-On SOHW - 1633S</A></b></font color=red> ($60 + SH).
