Im getting an lcd tv for christmas but my parents have stored it in the garage where it is very cold some days(around 28-35 degrees F).Is this bad for the tv or will it survive until christmas?

It should be fine unless for some reason moisture gets inside and freezes. I would be careful moving it though, the cold will make the glass/plastic brittle. I'd also let it warm up to room temperature before turning it on.
