When I take the picture it does not show up on the outside digital flash just the inside. Has something been turned off that I need to turn back on?

I assume you mean that pics are viewable only from the camera's internal memory.

If the pictures on the card are important, suggest you look for some picture recovery software and try the memory card in a computer with a card adapter.

If the pictures don't matter, try formatting the card in this or another camera.
