Hi
I have just purchased a LCD tv and would like to use it as a 2nd screen on my computer. I can connect it up to the computer using VGA and it is fine but am unable to get both my pc montior and tv to work at the same time. I have been told to try using a HDMI cable which I have an output for on the telvison but not on the computer (as the computer is around 4 years old). Is there any soloution out there to connect them using a VGA and HDMI cable ? Any ideas?
Thanks

The VGA connection from your computer to your HDTV should work fine. However, you may need to lower your resolution on your secondary monitor in your graphics card Control Panel to match the resolution of your TV.

What is your monitor's resolution set at?
What LCD TV did you purchase and what is it's native resolution?
What graphics card do you have installed in your PC?

You might need to get a video card with dual display or at least component video if you don't have one.

Like Wolfshadow, we need your specs.
