I was reading a article a few days ago. The article was about the Ipod/Iphone apps and how the industry had exploded. And what I learned, and if this is correct. The owner makes 70% for the profit.

I have been wanted to get into programing a little bit, so I decided this would be my chance. I want to make a Ipod app.

Can someone give me some lead on what I need, any books? And books online? Tools that I could use. Thanks.

Learn Objective-C, get familiar with the Cocoa Touch API, download the iPhone SDK and have fun making something you enjoy.

My best advice...don't go in expecting some get rich quick scheme. Build apps you find interesting, functional, fun or entertaining. The money will come only if you put everything else first.

I agree with Viper, look into the apple developer connection. Don't be one of the fools creating really poor apps hoping someone will buy them. If you're looking at making a certain app also look at how many others like it there are and what you can do better.
